# Controlled Automation

### Pre-clearance & clearance configuration

Configure customs workflows to support pre-clearance, standard clearance, and customer-specific processing requirements. Adapt declaration flows to different countries, procedures, and business models.

* **Auto Send Clearance**: Automatically transmits standard clearance declarations to customs once they pass validation.
* **Auto Send Pre-Clearance**: Automatically submits advance or pre-lodged declarations to customs prior to the arrival or presentation of the goods.

### Shipment aggregation & splitting

Automatically aggregate multiple shipments into a single declaration or split shipments into multiple declarations based on customs rules, thresholds, destinations, or operational requirements.

* **Cross Delivery Aggregation**: Aggregates deliveries from multiple shipments or orders into a single consolidated declaration when they share the same importer, exporter, and destination customs office.
* **Items Aggregation**: Merges identical line items (sharing the same HS code, origin country, and procedure codes) into a single consolidated line item on the declaration to simplify duty calculations.
* **Shipment**: The physical goods in transit, uniquely identified by a `shipment_id`.

### User roles & configuration management

Control access through customizable user roles, permissions, customer configurations, customs profiles, and workflow settings. Ensure security and compliance boundaries across different departments or entities.
