# Enable a service

> Enable Clearance or RTO on an existing shipment instead of creating a second one.

Enable Clearance or RTO on an existing shipment. If the service is already enabled, the shipment is returned unchanged.

### Path Parameters

  Shipment Public ID (`shp_…`).

### Headers

<ParamField header="Idempotency-Key" type="string" required>
  Unique key that makes retrying this request safe for 24 hours. A UUID is recommended.

  Service to enable. Allowed values: `CLEARANCE`, `RTO`.
</ParamField>

<ParamField body="rtoProcessType" type="string">
  RTO process type when enabling RTO. Allowed values: `IMPORT_HANDLING`, `EXPORT_HANDLING`, `DIRECT_PICKUP`, `DIRECT_DELIVERY`, `FORWARDER_TRANSFER`.
